Migraine is one of the most common conditions worldwide, affecting 21.8% of women and 10.9% of men in Turkey. Typically starting between the ages of 15 and 35, migraines manifest as severe, often unilateral, throbbing pain.

It’s a severe pain that impairs the patient’s ability to engage in daily activities, often leaving them unable to work. The intensity of the pain increases with physical activity. Hours spent in dark and quiet rooms may bring relief, but the patient returns to their life only until the next attack. For chronic migraine patients, the frequency of attacks can sometimes be just a few days apart, making life unbearable. In fact, many patients reach the brink of suicide.

Despite all these challenges, until recent years, there was no widely accepted medical treatment for migraines. Even today, the traditional treatments are thought to be painkillers or dark, quiet rooms. The purpose of this site is to explain to our patients that there is a treatment for migraines, which has made life unbearable for so many, and to share the details of this treatment.
